SIDBI-ET India MSE Awards
SIDBI has imbibed vision 2.0 to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystem in the country through multi prolonged approach, structured interventions and engagements. Several initiatives, which are innovative, inclusive and impactful, had been initiated in last financial year. One such illustrative initiative has been to recognise Micro and Small enterprises by instituting an Award, SIDBI-ET India MSE Awards in collaboration with Economic Times and CRISIL, as a knowledge partner. The Award is unique in nature as it rewards the Awardees, a capacity building programme with premier institute of the country and arranges to link with leading business personality for mentoring.
The Award was conferred by Minister of State for MSMEs and Minister of State Finance to 27 MSEs and Special Award under Lenders Category to 3 Banks/ FIs. It evinced appreciation from the entire MSME ecosystem.
SIDBI has now launched next edition of SIDBI-ET India MSE Award-2019 as national level MSE Awards to reward outstanding performers in the MSE sector, with more magnified vision. A new category of Best Employment Generating MSE has been added; along with this the applications are also invited in Most Tech Savvy MSE, Women MSE Achiever, Best MSE Exporter and Most Innovative Entrepreneur. The Award is scheduled to be held in October 2019 in Mumbai.

Lenders category Award
While rewarding the performance of MSEs, it is also important to recognize the all-round performance and overall contributions of lenders to MSEs. Therefore, three special awards to recognize the significant Contribution of lenders i.e. Banks, NBFCs and fintech players to MSEs have also been planned.
- All banks that are members of IBA and NBFCs are eligible to apply for the awards.
- Lenders must necessarily have loan products to cater to MSEs.
- The definition of MSE is defined under MSMED Act 2006 and meets their criteria.
- Reserve Bank of India’s reporting norms on lending to the MSE sector.
- Those applying under Fintech lender category must have atleast one full year of Fintech based operations
- Soft copy of annual reports and last 3 year audited unabridged financial statements shall also be furnished
